HAKARI  has 3 bedrooms,  2 with queen size beds and one with two king single beds, sleeping up to 6 guests. A beautiful feature of the property is the upper level bedroom’s exquisite Huon Pine parquetry floors. There is an upstairs bathroom with a walk in shower and access to the upper deck. There is another bedroom and bathroom downstairs.  

On the ground floor is the striking entrance foyer, 2 sitting rooms, dining room, kitchen and laundry as well an outdoor waterside courtyard. The house is set below the road and features striking landscaped gardens.  Also there is  an adjacent studio that may be used for additional accommodation, please contact Karen for more information.

This is a house for all seasons. In summer the deep windows facing onto the river slide open and the doors from the living rooms to the courtyard open to allow the water breezes to flow through. In winter there is underfloor and central heating as well as a wood fire in the larger living room. 

Sustainability is important to us and we strive to use organic and recyclable products; everything from organic cotton bedlinen, compostable coffee  pods and low energy appliances.
