HAKARI

HAKARI meaning ‘filled with light’ in Japanese is the perfect name for this spacious and serene home located on the banks of the Derwent River, Hobart. It is the perfect place for relaxing, dreaming and exploring southern Tasmania.

Enjoy your day discovering the local neighbourhood or venture further afield  to one of the myriad of experiences in and around Hobart or simply sit and watch yachts, cruise ships, cargo ships and kayakers glide by. You can even walk down to the river for a dip. Keep an eye out for dolphins, seals, whales and white sea eagles that have been sighted from here.

As your day draws to a close you may choose to cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen, light the chimenea in the courtyard (or the living room wood fire if it’s a bit cool), pour a glass of Tasmania wine or whiskey, put on some music, relax and watch the moon rise over the water.
